Welcome, my name is Doug and I am The Bearded Outdoorsman. I am first and foremost a Christian, but I am also a bearded husband, father, YouTuber, and outdoorsman. I have been married to the love of my life since 2011. I have 4 wonderful children, 3 beautiful girls and 1 awesome son. I have had a beard for more years than I can remember. I started my YouTube channel in 2018 on a whim. I have learned so much over the years. I hope you enjoy my website and my YouTube content.
On my YouTube channel and this website, I take a look at all things beards, outdoor gear, action cameras, wallets, etc. If you like any of those things, I am sure you will find something here that interests you. I offer a unique approach to all of my reviews, a few months into my channel I began recording all of my videos outside, in the woods, sitting in a hammock. There are a few exceptions that I have encountered along the way, but 99% are done outside. Also, when it comes to everything I review, I test it out. As for the beard products, starting in January 2023, I purchase the products that I want to review and use them for an entire month before doing the review. In that review video, I not only review the products but I give the consumer stand point on the company, their website, shipping, packaging, etc. I don't just receive a product today and review it tomorrow.
From the very first video, I have done everything from recording to editing to uploading from my iPhone. No fancy camera equipment here.
